SANDBOX
Build the whole integration
before you sign anything
A test key is on the dashboard the moment you have an account. It issues simulated profiles, plans and usage that behave exactly like the live ones, and it costs nothing.
No card, no minimum term, no commitment. Simulated resources are free and stay free.
WHAT IT IS
The same platform, with simulated resources
The sandbox is not a demo or a mock server. It is the platform, running your calls against resources that are simulated rather than carried on a network.
- The API
- The same endpoints, the same objects, the same validation. A call that works here works in production.
- The errors
- One error shape everywhere, and the sandbox returns the same ones, including the failures you need to handle.
- The events
- Webhooks fire on the same transitions, to your endpoint, with the same envelope.
- The dashboard
- Usage, logs and state, exactly as they appear once traffic is real.
- The resources
- Profiles, plans and connections are issued and behave, but nothing is carried on a network.
- The usage
- Traffic can be driven against a resource so counters, thresholds and alerts all fire as they would.
- The cost
- Nothing is rated and nothing is invoiced. There is no bill to be surprised by.
- The keys
- Test keys are prefixed, so a test key can never be mistaken for a live one in a log or a commit.
GETTING IN
Four steps, and none of them is a conversation
From nothing to a response you can read.
Create an account
Email and company name. No sales call and no approval step.
Take the test key
It is already on the dashboard. There is nothing to request and nobody to ask.
Send one request
Copy an example from any capability page, paste your key, send it.
Read the response
A real object, with the fields the finished screens use.
After that, take as long as you like. Nothing expires and nothing is metered.
WHAT COMES BACK
A test key, and a real object
The same request you would send in production, against a key that cost nothing and needed no approval.
# Send it with the key on your dashboard curl https://api.telyne.com/v1/esim \ -H "Authorization: Bearer sk_test_4a11" \ -H "Idempotency-Key: try_0001" \ -d '{ "region":"europe", "data_gb":5 }'
# 201 Created { "id": "esim_3Rt9wB", "simulated": true, "activation_code": "LPA:1$rsp.telyne.com$T7", "metering": { "unit": "gigabyte" } }
One field differs from the live response, and it is the one telling you this profile is simulated. Everything your code reads is in the same place, with the same name and the same type.
WHY IT MATTERS
Nobody should discover at the end that it does not fit
The usual order is sign, integrate, then find out. This inverts it: build the integration first, against the real API shape, and decide afterwards.
The integration you build here is the one you ship. Moving to production is a different key, not different code.
QUESTIONS
The sandbox on Telyne
Does the sandbox cost anything?
No. Simulated resources are free and stay free, nothing is rated, and no invoice is produced. There is no card to enter and nothing to pay.
How different is it from production?
The API, the objects, the validation, the errors and the events are the same. What differs is that the resources are simulated rather than carried on a network, so nothing is billed. Moving across is a different key, not different code.
Can I test the failure cases?
Yes, and you should. The sandbox returns the same error shapes as production, and usage can be driven against a resource so thresholds, caps and suspensions all fire the way they will when the traffic is real.
Do test keys expire?
No. They are prefixed so they can never be confused with live keys, and they keep working for as long as the account exists.
What do I need before I start?
An email address and a company name. Everything else is waiting on the dashboard when you arrive: the key, the documentation, the examples.
Take a test key and make the first call
Join the waiting list and we will email you once, when production access opens, with the capabilities that are ready first.
