The commercial shape of the arrangement, in the same plain terms the rest of this site uses. The full contract is issued with production access; nothing in it will contradict what is on this page.
WHAT WE COMMIT TO
Our side of it
These are the commitments the platform is built around rather than concessions negotiated per customer.
- Charge for what was used
- Metered as it happens, on one invoice, traceable to a record you can query.
- Keep your integration working
- Versions are pinned per account at first call. Deprecation runs to a published timetable with warnings in headers.
- Leave your customers alone
- If you resell, the relationship is yours. We do not contact them and we do not appear in front of them.
- Invoice you, not them
- Telyne invoices you for the services you consume. You invoice your customers for what you sell them, through your own payment provider, at prices you set.
- Tell you what state things are in
- A capability that is not open says so before you build against it.
- Let you stop
- No notice period. Switch a capability off and billing stops with it.
WHAT WE ASK
Your side of it
Short, and none of it is unusual.
- Use it lawfully
- Within the law of the places you operate, and within the acceptable use rules.
- Look after your keys
- They are prefixed and scoped to make that easier. A key you leak is a key we will help you rotate.
- Pay for what you used
- On the invoice, in the period it relates to.
- Tell us about abuse
- If something is being misused through your integration, tell us and we will act on it together.
WHO SELLS WHAT
Two transactions, not one
Where you resell, there are two separate commercial relationships and they do not touch. This is the distinction that decides who is responsible for what.
- Telyne to you
- We invoice you for the services your account consumed, metered as they happened, on one bill.
- You to your customer
- You are merchant of record for what you sell downstream. You set the retail price, you take the payment, and the customer relationship is yours.
- Your payment provider
- Yours, chosen by you. Telyne does not dictate it, does not sit inside it and does not take your customers’ payments.
- What follows from that
- Refunds, chargebacks, tax treatment and consumer obligations on your downstream sales are yours, because the sale is yours.
ENDING IT
Either side can stop, and neither is trapped
The absence of a term is deliberate. A platform that has to lock customers in is a platform that expects them to want to leave.
QUESTIONS
Terms at Telyne
Is there a minimum term?
No. There is no annual term, no notice period and no exit fee. A capability switched off today stops billing today, and closing an account is something you do rather than something you request.
What happens to my data if I leave?
You can export anything you can query, at the same resolution it is held at, before you go. What is not needed for billing or legal reasons is removed when the account closes.
Will the terms change under me?
The commercial shape on this page is what the platform is built around. Your API version is pinned at first call, and changes that affect an integration run to a published timetable rather than arriving unannounced.
Is this the actual contract?
It is the shape of it, in plain terms. The full agreement is issued with production access, and nothing in it will contradict what is written here.
What if my customers misuse the service?
Tell us and we will deal with it together. The acceptable use rules describe what is not allowed, and the platform's usage controls can stop a resource rather than only report on it.
